More than distribution

We’re reclaiming African shelves

We believe African-made goods belong in every home, every store, and every cart. We're not just building a distribution  company—we’re leading a movement to empower local businesses, celebrate African craftsmanship, and change the way the continent trades.

Our story
Home grown, heart felt, and here to stay
As foreign brands took over our shelves, local identity faded and a bold idea to reclaim African markets and celebrate our own emerged.
CityDistro began in the heart of Yaba, not a boardroom. It was born from real people solving real problems with a bold vision to make African-made goods dominant across every shelf on the continent.
What began as a small initiative is now a growing movement across Africa—connecting manufacturers, retailers, and financial partners to create a thriving ecosystem where local goods are produced, traded, and proudly chosen in cities from Lagos to Kigali.
Our mission Is the spark.
Our vision is the path.

Together, they drive a new era for African-made goods

Our mission
To make African-made goods easily accessible, visible, and available to shoppers and consumers—and to become the top choice on every shelf across Africa.
Our vision
To weave together the strength of our people, products, and technology—building a seamless, community-driven distribution network that prioritizes African goods, fuels economic independence, and connects the heart of Africa to the world.
The problem
01
Foreign brand dominance
Nigeria’s FMCG market is dominated by foreign brands holding over 70% of shelf space—limiting local manufacturers' visibility and stifling economic growth.
02
Local product invisibility
Despite a population of over 200 million and a fast-growing consumer market, Nigerian-made goods remain underrepresented due to poor distribution strategies and fragmented retail access.
03
Consumer spending decline
In 2024, FMCG transaction volumes dropped by 17.4% in Nigeria due to inflation and reduced purchasing power, creating demand for affordable, high-quality alternatives.
04
Financing barriers for manufacturers
Many local producers struggle to access funding due to high interest rates and rigid requirements from banks, limiting their ability to scale operations or meet demand.
The solution
We reverse this by connecting African producers directly to a vast network of retailers through local expertise, retail relationships, and smart distribution strategies, ensuring African-made goods take their rightful place on every shelf.
We operate an integrated distribution platform that connects local producers directly to a widespread network of retailers, ensuring visibility and accessibility in both formal and informal markets.
We deliver affordable, locally made products to retailers quickly and reliably, giving consumers better choices and retailers higher margins—all while supporting local producers.
Our Inventory Financing model, including Buy Now, Pay Later, allows manufacturers to scale production and manage cash flow without traditional financial roadblocks
Our ecosystem
We’re creating a new kind of distribution network

One built on community, collaboration, and cross-border potential. It’s not just logistics. It’s a pan-African trade ecosystem. From Lagos to Nairobi. From Accra to Kigali.
